Delete your account
Hebrew in Context · by WorkBench Studios (Workbench LLC)
You can delete your Hebrew in Context account and the data stored with it at any time. Choose whichever option is easier.
Option 1: In the app
- Open Hebrew in Context and tap the gear icon in the top right to open Settings.
- Tap Account, then Delete account.
- Confirm. You may be asked to sign in again to prove it's you.
Option 2: By email
If you no longer have the app installed, email hebrewincontext@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my account. If you signed in with Google, use that Google account's email. We'll confirm by email and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account: email address, display name and Google account ID.
- Your synced learning progress, learned words, practice history and discoveries stored in the cloud.
- Analytics data linked to your account.
What may be kept
- Crash reports are not linked to your account and are deleted automatically within 90 days.
- Purchase records are kept by Google Play under its own policies. We keep a record that a purchase happened only as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Progress on your phone stays until you uninstall the app or clear its data in Android settings.
Subscriptions: deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. To stop charges, open the Google Play Store, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, and cancel Hebrew in Context.
