Learn biblical Hebrew the way children learn language
An unfolding story carries you, word by word, until you are reading Genesis 1 in the original Hebrew.
How it works
The Hebrew share grows until the story is in Hebrew
Each episode teaches new words inside the story, then keeps using them. You stop translating and start recognizing, the same way you learned your first language.
Genesis 1:1 as you would read it in My Scripture at each point. Hebrew text from the Westminster Leningrad Codex.

Questions
Frequently asked
Do I need to know any Hebrew to start?
No. Learn to Read starts with the first letter, and the Journey starts with a single word in an English story. Everything builds from there.
Is this a Bible study or a language course?
It is a language course built around Scripture. The story doesn't retell Genesis. It teaches the words so you can read Genesis 1 yourself.
Who is it for?
Adults and teens, ages 13 and up. Families can learn together on a parent's account.
Is there an iPhone version?
Hebrew in Context launches on Android (Android 7.0 and up). An iPhone version may follow. Join early access and we'll let you know.
Do I need an account?
No. Guest mode keeps your progress on your phone. Create an account any time to sync across devices, and your guest progress comes with you.
How do I get help or delete my account?
